MORTAR is the all-in-one app for Malaysian contractors — from the first quote to the final claim. We build it for the people who run a business from the back of a lorry, not a corner office.
MORTAR started after watching contractors juggle a phone full of WhatsApp messages, a paper quotation book and a half-broken spreadsheet — all on a dusty site, with one bar of signal and muddy hands. The work was getting done. The paperwork was getting lost.
Our mission is simple: put the whole money side of a job — quote, invoice, progress claim and finally getting paid — into one app that actually works where the work happens. That means it has to run offline, speak in plain language, and use buttons big enough to tap without slowing down.
We call it the "Azman test". If a busy contractor on site can't do it in a few seconds with one thumb, we fix it. One screen, one task. A numpad for money fields. No accounting jargon. A confirmation before anything destructive.
MORTAR is made in Malaysia, for Malaysian contractors — G1 to G7, subcontractors and tradesmen alike. Your data is hosted in Singapore (ap-southeast-1) for speed and PDPA alignment. And it's priced to make sense for a one-person crew today, and to grow with you as your team does.
